Bolt, Blake, Weir – Jamaica 123 in London Olympics 200m

Usain Bolt proved once again that no track athlete can touch him at the Olympic Games. Bolt won the men's 200-metre event on Thursday, clocking in a time of 19.32 seconds to lead a Jamaican sweep. It wasn't just another gold medal for Bolt. The 25-year-old star set two historic marks en route to his fifth career gold. He becomes the first man to ever win the 200 at consecutive Olympics, and is the only athlete to sweep the 100 and 200 events at back-to-back Games. "Bask in my glory," Bolt proclaimed. "I've got nothing left to prove. I've done something that no one has done before, which is defend my double title. Back-to-back for me, I would say I'm the greatest." Two other Jamaicans joined Bolt in the top three. Yohan Blake finished second in 19.44, with Warren Weir taking bronze at 19....

Usain Bolt wins 100m in Olympic Record

Usain Bolt emphatically confirmed his status as the greatest sprinter in history as he retained his Olympic 100m title in peerless fashion. Bolt, doubted by many after a season dogged by defeat and injury, ran the second-fastest time ever to beat fellow Jamaican and training partner Yohan Blake into silver and American Justin Gatlin into bronze. Bolt's 9.63 seconds, just 0.05 seconds slower than his own staggering world record, was a new Olympic best and capped a race in which seven men went under 10 seconds, with only the injured Asafa Powell failing to break that mark. "I was happy when I went out in the first round, I felt I could do this," said the 25-year-old Bolt. "I was slightly worried about my start. I didn't want to false start again, so I sat in the blocks a little bit. "It was...

Bolt to run first 100m of the season in Kingston

Usain Bolt confirmed he will run his first 100m race of the 2012 season at the JN Jamaica Invitational, an IAAF World Challenge Meeting on 5 May at National Stadium in Kingston. Since the 100 and 200m World record holder and Olympic champion was announced for the meet almost a month ago, speculation was high as to which event he would run, though it was clear that he would not face Yohan Blake, the 100m World champion. Now that Bolt has confirmed his place in the 100m, he is likely to face former World record holder Asafa Powell while Blake looks set to run the men's 200m. Asked about what to expect at the Jamaica Invitational, Bolt replied: "This will be my first 100m, so I am just going out there (to try) to get everything right because it's all about execution. I am working on my start...

Vote for Usain Bolt – 2012 TIME 100 Poll

At the 2008 Beijing Olympics, Bolt ran a record 9.69 in the 100 m, even while slowing down at the finish. In the 2009 Worlds, he clocked a 9.58 — another 100-m record. What does the world's fastest man have in store for the London Olympics? Fellow Jamaican Yohan Blake, who won the 100 m at the 2011 Worlds after Bolt was disqualified because of a false start, has emerged as a worthy rival. Still, as long as Bolt is lined up, he'll always be the man to beat. Vote for Usain Bolt - HERE
