Stephen Marley scoops up 10th Grammy

Another Marley has won a Grammy. Last night at Harlem's Apollo Theater, it was Stephen who would be honoured with a Grammy for his Revelation Pt 1: The Root Of Life album. This is the 10th time the Marley is holding on to the Grammy, also winning five as part of Ziggy Marley and The Melody Makers. Stephen also won two with Damian Marley. He stood on the podium as a solo artiste in 2007 and 2009 for Mind Control and Mind Control Acoustic, respectively. Marley got the better of Monty Alexander (Harlem-Kingston Express Live!), Israel Vibration (Reggae Knights), Ziggy Marley (Wild and Free), and Shaggy (Summer In Kingston). Via - Jamaica Gleaner

Marley sculpture by Gregory Pototsky erected at UTech

THE University of Technology (UTech) yesterday unveiled a sculpture of late Reggae icon, Robert Nesta “Bob” Marley, at its Papine campus in St. Andrew. The piece, which has been erected in the institution’s Caribbean Sculpture Park, was designed by Russian sculptor, Gregory Pototsky, and presented as a gift to the institution and, by extension, the government and people Jamaica. The unveiling of the Bob Marley sculpture coincided with the 67th anniversary of the late Reggae exponent’s birth, and was one of two pieces formally presented to UTech. Olympics Team to wear Marley gear

Marley Family Loses Lawsuit agaist UMG
