Alia Atkinson finishes 4th in 100 metre breaststroke

Jamaica’s Alia Atkinson barely missed out on a first ever medal for herself and Jamaica in a swimming event at the Olympics after she finished 4th in the finals of the 100 metre breaststroke at the London Olympic Games.

Alia’s 4th place time was 1:06.93 behind third placed  Satomi Suzuki of Japan who swam 1:06.46 and the winner of the event 15 year old Ruta Meilutyte from Lithuania who won in 1:05.47.
