Cuba Gives Energy Saving Bulbs to Jamaica

ICC Cricket World Cup 2007 Information

Crickets most important event and one of the largest sporting events in the world is less than a year away from being staged in the Caribbean region. This is no easy undertaking and the region, under the tutelage of the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) has been preparing the region for this important event. So far the WICB reports that all things are in order and on course for the event and has reported that they have been busy with various tasks such as gathering information from the previous hosts of the event, sorting out reports submitted from each of the islands that will host matches as well as sorting out advertising and branding contracts. Junior Gong Wins Second Grammy

Damian "Junior Gong" Marley was in a celebratory mood when seen just hours after winning the award for best reggae album at the 48th annual Grammy Awards. His winning album, Welcome to Jamrock is a Tuff Gong/Universal Music compilation that follows along his usual conscious path while highlighting issues being faced by the poor in Jamaica. Junior Gong is no stranger to grammy nominations or winning as he won the same grammy in 2002 for his Motown released half Way Tree. (more…)

Fans of good music has for years now had their every wish answered with each staging of the annual Air Jamaica Jazz and Blues Festival.
